What operating systems will OM 4.0 run on?

OM will run on all versions of windows including Windows 95,Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.  OM 4.0 can also be installed on a Novell network.  If you have a Macintosh, although we don't have a program specifically written for you, OM 4.0 can run under a Windows emulator program.

The sample invoice we received in the mail looks like it could work for us.  We manufacture and wholesale handcrafted items.  Other software packages we’ve tried, did not suit us.

OM 4.0 was created from a practical point of view rather than from the viewpoint of someone who has had no experience with the aspects of your type of business.  OM 4.0 specializes in the order, inventory, and receivables part of your business.  These are all tied together, so when you're entering an order, you'll know if you have the inventory, or when it is due to arrive.  You'll also know if the customer has a past due balance, is nearing their credit limit, or has open credit memos.

Will we have to reenter all of our information.

We have developed conversion programs for Makers Automated Clerk and Oak Street software.  For users of other programs, please contact OM Sales for more details.

What steps do we need to take to have our data converted from Makers Automated Clerk to OM?

About the only thing you have to do in MAC is the  "remove obsolete data", and any cleanup of old customers, products, and receivables.  We have a self-running program to convert your data.

Can we look up which items a customer has ordered in the past without knowing their order numbers?

Yes.  Click the Customer menu, select Customer Profile, and find the customer.  With the customer profile on the screen, click the Reports button, select Item Reports, Products shipped. This report is the same as your daily item shipments, but is limited to items for the selected customer.

Can we reprint an invoice?

Yes, at any time.  In the Order screen, find the order, click the Print button, and click the Form Button.

Is it possible to un-invoice and re-invoice?

Yes.  In the Order Screen, find the order, click the More button, and click the Unclose button.  Once unclosed, you can make any changes and invoice again.

Some of our customers will have us ship to more than one address. Can OM handle this?

Yes.  Each order can have a different drop-ship address.

Does the program track sales reps & commissions?

Yes, you can track individual reps or rep groups. Commissions can be paid based on invoice date or when you are paid.

 I need to pay royalties can OM handle royalty payments?

Yes, the program tracks royalties based on when you are paid.  You can choose between percentage or flat rate.

I use QuickBooks do I have to double enter information in both programs?

No! OM has an accounting program export function which creates journal data for QuickBooks or Peachtree to import.

 One of my customers wants their SKU numbers printed on the invoice. Can OM do this?

OM 4.0 has the ability to use customized forms on a per customer basis.  SKU numbers can be added to any form.

Can I have more than one price list?

Yes, OM 4.0 supports multiple price lists.

Is there a limit to the number of customers we can enter?

Due to the unlimited record capacity of the databases there is no limit to the number of customers that can be entered.

 Can I send data to UPS Software.?

Yes, OM 4.0 exports data for use in UPS Software.

 How long can I use the evaluation program?

The evaluation version can be used for 30 days.  After 30 days you may purchase the program in order to receive the activation key necessary for continued use.

What limits does the evaluation program have?

For practical purposes there are no limitations to the evaluation version.  Some additional features such as bar coding, EDI, and remote entry programs are not activated with the evaluation version.

  What is the activation key asked for as we install the evaluation disk for our trial use period?

An activation key will be required to continue using OM-after the 30 day trial period has expired. This allows you to continue use of the program. without interruption or re-installation.
